i've finished writing my novel (50 thousand words) about my years spent in federal correctional prison when i was an obedient little jw.. the editing and rewriting stage now commences.. i need your help!.
here is how you can help me.. i can't know what an outside mind wants to find out concerning this experience.
i can only conjure up what seems interesting to me.. tell me what you want to know about such a personal experience.. that will give me a checklist to compare to what i've written already.. i may have missed many little details which are very important to a reader.. i may have neglected essential questions which must be answered in order to satisfy the mind.. please offer me your curiousity.. thanking you in advance; i appreciate your taking the time to advance my novel to the finish line.. (i wrote it as a fictional work because i could not honestly write about myself without the distance of this device.. so, i made myself into a character with a different name.. the identity of everyone else is non-fiction.

Because I'm here for only a short time, someone else may have already asked the question. I would be intrigued to know why a person would become a witness in the first place. What was it that initially attracted you to this organization and what was your state, emotionally, spiritually and even physically prior to becoming interested? Were you on solid ground, were you looking for something, were you going through a traumatic experience, or like my mother, were you in a great need to connect to anyone that showed any interest in her, that someone would listen. The fact that witnesses came to the door may be irrellevant; that Mormons could just have easily shown up at that door that fateful day. Maybe these aren't the questions you had in mind. If so, sorry.
in a sense its my fault, i made her take a look in the loft to see what she wanted me to take down.
anyway while she was perched on top of the ladder, she slipped back and banged her head/neck/back.
she is ok, up, smiling and joking compared to before when things looked quite serious.
(okay, i know i said i'd be taking a break from jwd, and i will, but i just remembered something that i felt necessary to post here because it was bugging me) .
there are some of you out there who believe the governing body meticulously crafts subliminal images that are hidden throughout the society's literature.
you say that it is impossible for these to be mere accidents or just the work of sloppy artists because there is so much painstaking review and every image must be approved by the gb before being published.

Those who are more into the religion for doctrine rather than a social situation find it easier to leave.
I agree with that statement. I truly believe that is the main reason why my mother stays. At times I have made her think but she's afraid because this is all she's knows for 35 years. It's about integrity and discernment; that you remain true to yourself even when it may be scary and not fall for everything that comes your way.

Mary: I couldn't help myself. Made it into a Xmas card for anyone that wishes to send a card to someone . Strange that they would use the term Xmas instead of Christmas. I should send it to someone I know pretending ignorance that they don't celebrate; as a thoughtful gesture showing the history of the Organization; that he might be impressed. I know, I'm not always nice.
